About this model
SPECIAL ORDER - DELIVERY TAKES APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 12 WEEKS
The Maserati 200S was one of the most elegant and capable sports racing cars of the 1950s. Developed by Maserati for the World Sportscar Championship and customer competition, the 200S featured a lightweight tubular steel chassis clothed in beautifully hand-formed aluminum bodywork by Fantuzzi. Power came from Maserati's advanced 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four engine with twin ignition, producing approximately 190 horsepower. Renowned for its exceptional handling and balance, the 200S became a favorite among both factory and privateer drivers, including future racing innovator Jim Hall.
This Marsh Models 1:43 scale replica faithfully recreates the #62 Maserati 200S driven by Jim Hall to victory at the Stillwater Circuit race in 1957. Before founding Chaparral Cars and revolutionizing sports car design with innovations such as high-mounted wings and ground-effect aerodynamics, Hall established himself as one of America's most talented young road racers. Driving the nimble Maserati, he demonstrated the skill and determination that would later make him one of the sport's greatest innovators. His victory at Stillwater further enhanced his growing reputation during the golden era of American sports car racing.
Expertly handcrafted by Marsh Models, this finely detailed resin replica captures the graceful lines of the Maserati 200S with remarkable accuracy. The classic red race livery, sweeping Fantuzzi coachwork, oval front grille, wire-spoke wheels, exposed cockpit, detailed dashboard, and authentic race markings are faithfully reproduced. Produced in limited numbers, this high-quality model is an outstanding addition for collectors of classic Maseratis, Jim Hall memorabilia, and 1950s sports racing legends.
