About this model
The Porsche 917K #17 was driven by experienced endurance racers Hans Herrmann and Rudi Lins for Porsche Konstruktionen Salzburg at Sebring in 1970. Both drivers were key members of Porsche's factory sports-car programme and brought considerable endurance racing expertise to the event. The pair ran competitively during the early stages of the race but encountered technical difficulties that prevented them from reaching the finish. Despite the retirement, the car formed an important part of Porsche's four-car 917K Sebring effort.
